Hill Country Living : March 2012

This pregnancy has gone by so fast! I can't believe that I'm 8 months pregnant already!

So far I don’t have any sign of stretch marks but I have a feeling my belly is going to grow faster than it ever has in the next 9 weeks so we’ll see! My sleep still sucks and my energy level is decreasing again so I’m definitely not as mobile as I used to be and have slowed down a bit. Antonio continues to move and kick which is always fun to watch and feel. Things are surely getting exciting now!

The nursery is mostly done. The painting is DONE! We still need a changing pad for the dresser, our glider and a small table. The curtains are up and I made a custom crib skirt to work with our crib.

We've chosen our pediatrician, Dr. Donald C. Nelms. He is a recommendation from a friend who has 6 children so I trust her opinion! His office is close to the house. He will come to the hospital to do the first exam on Antonio.

We are pre-registered at Memorial Hermann in Katy for the delivery. I wasn't going to do a tour because I've visited many friends who have delivered there, but recently decided to have a tour anyway. We will tour the hospital on April 15th. We are also going to schedule a breastfeeding class and an infant CPR class sometime in April.

My first baby shower is this Thursday at the office and I can't wait.

We are having an elective 3D/4D ultrasound just for fun this Friday. I can't wait to see what this little boy looks like! We will post the pictures and video.

We started on weekly appointments at about 29 weeks due to my high blood pressure and will have a few extra ultrasounds to monitor Antonio's growth. Normally weekly appointments don't start until the last 4 weeks but they want to monitor me closely. I was put on blood pressure medicine at my last appointment and they will do an ultrasound March 29th to check his growth. At my last 3 appointments I have measured 29 weeks.
